About Us
In 2020 Craig and Beth Smith opened Tank's BBQ, specializing in high quality smoked meats. The unique smoking techniques and made from scratch rubs and sauces set us apart from the other guys. When the opportunity to open a pizza shop presented itself, we knew right away that pizza and Tank's BBQ would be an excellent pairing. We're excited to offer Tank's Pizza to our community and to our foodie friends who will make the well worth it drive!
Tank's is named in memory of Mitch Smith, a loving father and friend to all, who passed away in 2000. Mitch, nicknamed "Tank," was a Kokomo resident throughout school, graduating from Haworth High School. Tank had a love for music, food, and life. Craig remembers countless trips to get his dad's favorite pulled pork from Cartier Lounge, a Kokomo staple at the time. It is from these memories that Craig crafted and perfected Tank's BBQ pulled pork and other specialty meats. Our pizza names honor Tank and some of the things he loved!
Take Out
For the time being we are only offering take out, but hope to add a delivery service soon. Inside the shop we have two booths available for those who can't wait to make it back home to eat!
